Upcoming at The Valley View Casino Center Every style of music, from symphonies ( The Trans-Siberian Orchestra at Christmas) to Carrie Underwood to Hip Hop is coming. This is a 14,000 seat “arena show,” not a lounge show. Then I realized that they were playing at The Valley View Casino Center–formerly the San Diego Sports Arena. Admittedly, those guys are getting a little old, but they were one of the best bands of my generation. It’s amazing how much is going on over on Sports Arena Boulevard though.Ī few weeks ago listening to the radio, I heard a commercial for Pete Townsend and Roger Daltrey touring and playing a show at Valley View Casino. And so is The San Diego Sports Arena where they used to play to very sparse crowds. Unfortunately, the Clippers are long gone. I knew someday I was going to live in San Diego. Back when I was still shivering in the wintertime in Grand Rapids, Mi, I was a San Diego Clippers fan.
